Camping and Youth Consultant

 

Duties include:

· The Camping and Youth Consultant will serve as Executive Director of Camp Geddie, the camp of the Synod of the Atlantic Provinces.. In that role s/he will

Oversee and participate in the operation, administration,

           and promotion of the Synod camp.

serve as an ex officio member on the Camp Geddie Committee, and its sub-committees.

provide for pastoral care for campers and staff.

· The Camping and Youth Consultant will promote camping ministry to the Synod.

· Training for Youth Leaders

· Synod Youth Events

· Training for Camp Keir and Camp MacLeod.

· Work jointly with the Mission and Educational Consultant

· Personal contact with congregations

· Advisor to Presbytery Youth Events

· Train and Lead congregational youth events.

 

Mission and Educational Consultant

 

Duties Include:

	Training people to be active in mission (Local and international)
	Spiritual/Pastoral Opportunities for lay and clergy (i.e. retreat)
	Promote and support the work of AMS, PWS&D and visits from missionaries as provided by Life and Mission Agency
	Promote and Support Church youth programs (i.e. CY & Youth in Mission)
	Provide a variety of ways and means for people to reach out to their neighbours and communities
	Train and lead Congregational educational events (i.e. Sunday School, elders, Bible Study leaders)
	Special attention to those congregations and Presbyteries who are isolated
	Work jointly with the Camping and Youth Consultant
	Personal contact with congregations
	Advisor to Presbytery Youth Events
	Train and Lead congregational youth events
